A Challenge for 2026

This is my first blog entry of the year. I spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve with my family and took a short break from blogging — but that doesn’t mean I stopped taking photos. On the contrary!

In fact, my Christmas came early this year when I got to try the Canon RF 70–200mm f/2.8 lens — what a joy! I also spent some quiet time reflecting and studying the work of other photographers, which led me to set a personal challenge for 2026:

Take at least one photo every day, in black and white, using a 50mm lens.

The idea came from Gil Kreslavsky in his YouTube video “6 Proven Ways to Develop Your Photographic Eye” — and it really spoke to me.

Of course, this won’t be the only thing I do this year. I’ll continue working on my color and landscape photography, and I already have a few exciting projects underway. They’re still in the early stages, but I’m hoping to wrap them up before summer — and once I do, I’ll be sure to write about them here.

Until then, I wish you all a fantastic photography year ahead.

Let’s make 2026 one to remember!

See you in the next blog. 😊
